Year Three
Welcome to our Year 3 page.
We are a class of 30 children led by Mrs Heatley and Mrs Pratt. This is a very special year for us as year 3 is the First Holy Communion year and we are all very excited at having started our preparation. We enjoy many differing subjects but at the moment we are engrossed in our PSHE topic of healthy eating and have looked at how to improve our diets. We have been experimenting with menus and have perfected beans on toast and scrambled egg. Until the weather intervened and many of our children could not get into school, we were going to master the delights of grape and banana chocolate cluster. But this will have to wait until next term! ( who says healthy eating can't be delicious!!)
In our topic this term we have looked at 'Significant People', the people in history who have made a difference. We studied historical figures from all walks of life and as you can see enjoyed a very creditable tribute to Vincent van Gogh.

Christmas is a very busy time for us as we enjoy being a part of a vibrant community. This month we are singing at the Victorian Fair, the parish carol service, entertaining the elderley at their parish party and for those members of our community who cannot join us, we go to them and help to share a spirit of Christmas by singing at Spring Gardens Residence.
This week we are busy with much carolling and, getting our class assembly into shape. We are going to tell you how to be an Advent Angel!
